One of the larger of those storms swept through Gentry.
Dale Adams says he got caught right in the middle of Sunday morning`s storm.
"All of a sudden trees started falling...trees started falling behind us and in front of us...we didn`t know whether to go forward or backwards," Adams said.
He and his family escaped unharmed, but his office didn`t and he spent most of the day working to clean up the mess left behind.
"This tree`s been here over 100 years, the highway department was going to take it out in the next two months, so sooner or later it was gone, but I just hate that it chose to land on our roof...it`s quite a massive clean up but it`s nothing that can`t be fixed."
Just down the road...Traci Reynolds says her husband woke her up in a panic just as the storm hit.
Tree branches and debris were left littering her yard after the storm...she says she believes a tornado hit the area and heard the roar as it approached.
"It`s the first thing you hear when there`s a tornado coming...i have no doubt in my mind that`s what this was."
