Run Off To Decide School Board Position

By:
Updated: April 17, 2007
A run off election will be held on October 10th for the At Large Position 1 on the Fayetteville school board. In an election on Tuesday voters decided between four candidates for the position and now the top two contenders will be going head to head in a run off. To win the seat a candidate must garner 51% of the vote. A task not accomplished by any of those vying for the position. The run off did not surprise either candidate because four people were going for the same seat on the board. John Delap and Jeanie Hill will spend the next three weeks getting word out about the vote. Both say no matter what the outcome, Fayetteville schools will be in good hands and they`re glad to have made it to the next round of elections.
