The company says it will cut prices on nearly 300 generic prescription medications to four dollars in the Tampa, Florida area and intends to expand that plan to all of Florida the beginning of next year.
The move comes with the world`s largest retailer being accused of providing inadequate health care over a million American workers.
Wal-Mart says the program will be available to customers and associates of 65 Wal-Mart pharmacies in the Tampa Bay area starting tomorrow.
Wal-Mart says the program will be available to those without health insurance, adding that those who have insurance are able to enjoy the program as well.
