Northwest Arkansas Community College is bringing students a taste of Cajun flavor.

The school recently opened Nola, a new cafe, featuring New Orleans themed dishes like red beans and rice.

It's run by Lou Rice, the college's Executive Chef in Residence, and employs local students looking for work experience.

Rice says the cafe offers them a more meaningful education in the service industry than most fast food restaurants.

"We give them a whole other world here," he says. "We have a student, that just graduated from high school, making a bacon cookie."

The cafe is serves lunch and dinner, and plans to add a dinner menu sometime this fall. All the proceeds go back to the school.
