Chrysler could become the first U.S. automaker to sell Chinese vehicles here in the U.S. By the end of the year, Chrysler plans to announce a deal with a foreign automaker to supply subcompact cars, like the Chery QQ, to U.S. consumers. Chinese automaker Chery is apparently Chrysler`s number one choice. Managers at Lewis Chrysler Dodge in Fayetteville say they`re not surprised by the deal. Sales Manager Brandon Moss says high gas prices have Americans looking toward more fuel-efficient cars, and the Chery, which can be built more inexpensively in China, might be the answer.
