Lane directs Beebe`s Community Relations Division, and is the administrator of the Arkansas Crime Victims Reparations Program, which helped disburse more than $4 million to victims of violent crime in Arkansas during 2005.
The National Association of Crime Victim Compensation Boards has worked for three decades to establish new methods of serving crime victims, to help existing boards operate more effectively and to fight proposed cuts in federal crime-victim funding.
Lane will serve a three-year term on the board, working with crime-victim boards nationwide. Her duties at the Attorney General`s Office will not change.
