Millions of Fish Added to Arkansas Lakes and Rivers

Millions of fish have been added to Arkansas lakes and rivers.

Some of them are catchable now while the others will need time to grow before anglers can reel them in.

Arkansas Game and Fish Commission crews stocked over 2.1 million fish during May, weighing more than 98,300 pounds.

The stockings included:
  • fingerling Florida bass
  • fingerling walleye
  • fingerling smallmouth bass
  • fingerling largemouth bass
  • fingerling striped bass
  • fingerling hybrid striped bass
  • fingerling saugeye
  • yearling bluegill bream
  • catchable rainbow trout and channel catfish
