More than a month after he passed away, the Northwest Arkansas community is keeping a local police chief's memory alive.

Former Lowell Police Chief Joe Landers died in May after he was hit on his motorcycle by a drunk driver in Florida.

This Saturday, June 30th, Mercy Health System and Pig Trail Harley-Davidson in Rogers will host the Mercy Memorial Ride and Motorcycle Poker Run in honor of Landers and Ron and Dee Pitsley.

Registration starts at 9:00am at Pig Trail Harley-Davidson.

The ride starts at 10:00am.

The cost to ride is $25 per hand and includes lunch from Qdoba Mexican Grill.

Proceeds will benefit the Mercy Memorial Foundation.
