They will provide fresh and frozen beef products to 93 commissary stores located in Maine, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Florida, Georgia, New York, New Jersey, North and South Carolina, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, North and South Dakota, Kentucky, Illinois, Ohio, Missouri and New Hampshire.
Tyson was chosen for the contract from three potential suppliers for the year-long contract, which will expire on October 31, 2007. The contract also includes two possible one-year extensions, which would take the contract through 2009.
