FORT SMITH PARTICIPATES IN NATIONAL CITIZENS SURVEY

By: Marty Houston
Updated: July 26, 2012

Fort Smith citizens will receive questionaires that will ask them to rate Fort Smith as a place to live, opportunities and services available, the quality of services and recent interactions with city employees.

Fort Smith Sandy Sanders says that the feedback will help the city board of directors determine the city's implementation of the services and infrastructure in the future.  "We must continue to make good decisions with our city's resources based on the community's collective wants, needs, and vision for our city in the decades to come", according to Sanders "The results of this survey will help us as we put the final touches on our budget in early October".

Fort Smith is one of 250 muncipalities in 44 states participating in the National Citizens Survey.  Sanders in urging residents to help by filling out the questionaire when they receive it, says it will take about 10 minutes of their time to complete.
