A 48-year-old man from Van Buren filed a report with the Van Buren Police Department Sunday morning after showing up in the lobby of a local motel wearing only a towel.

The man told Van Buren police that a woman who was staying in the motel room with him stole his pants and his car. Police say the man told them that he met a woman named "Amber" at a casino in Pocola Oklahoma the night before and that they left the casino around 10:30pm and rented a motel room in Van Buren.

At some point during the night, the woman took the man's pants, which contained his identification cards, credit cards, and keys, and then she took off in his 2011 Black Ford Edge.

The car was found later that day near Raleigh Street in Fort Smith.

Anyone with information about this crime is encouraged to contact the Van Buren Police Department at 479-474-1234.
