This comes after University of Arkansas Geologist, Margaret Guccione, studied four archeological sights in eastern Arkansas. The sites were located along the planned route of interstate 555 between Jonesboro and Memphis. The study showed that the American Indians that lived in the areas between 500 A.D. and 1450 A.D. experienced at least two earthquakes, but rarely experienced flooding thanks to the high banks from the Mississippi.
