Here`s a look at how we compare to other nearby areas according to arkansasgasprices.com.
Prices get significantly lower as you move out of Arkansas.
In Springfield prices are as low as $1.99.
In Tulsa prices range from $1.94 to $2.03.
Tulsa`s highest price for gas -- at $2.03, is still lower than Fayetteville`s **lowest** price at $2.08.
Friday in Fayetteville the pump prices range from $2.08 to $2.17.
So what`s causing the price jump?

So we called some of those local suppliers.
We spoke with Butch Robertson at Northwest Oil.
He says that price jump consumers are seeing at the pump comes from prices set by the major oil companies...which have recently gone up.
