"That's about as bad as I can ever remember for a football team," Arkansas head coach John L. Smith said after Saturday's 52-0 loss to #1 Alabama.

In back to back games, Arkansas suffered two of the worst losses in school history.  Nothing is working for Smith's Razorbacks.

"We're going to take a look at the offense.  We're going to take a look at the defense," Smith said.  "We're going to look at it all and try to become better.  That's all we can do."

The Hogs came into the season talking titles.  It's a thought today that seems preposterous.

"I still think we're a good football team," senior defensive tackle and team captain Alfred Davis proclaimed.  "I'm always going to think we're a good football team.  I don't think I'll ever stop thinking we're a good football team, but I do know that we've got a lot of stuff that we need to work on and we need to fix."

Offensively, Arkansas coughed up eight fumbles.

"It's ridiculous!" exclaimed offensive coordinator Paul Petrino.

Defensively, Alabama moved the ball with ease.

"It comes down to execution," defensive coordinator Paul Haynes explained.

At 1-2, the Razorbacks are on the brink of imploding.

"We as a team have to come together," Davis said.  "We don't need to go astray from each other and make it even harder on us.  I think we'll do that."

"This is a tight team," Haynes added.  "We've been through a lot of adversity.  We're going to move forward.  That's all we can do."

"We know we're a way better team than we showed," junior receiver/quarterback Brandon Mitchell said.  "We're going to come back and fight.  We're not going to have that kind of outing anymore this season.

"We can only go up," redshirt freshman quarterback Brandon Allen admitted.  "We've got to stick together as a team and get ready for Rutgers."

With or without Tyler Wilson at quarterback, it's clear the game plan must change before Saturday.

"Whatever it is we're giving them, we have to make sure that we put a plan together they can execute," Smith said.
