Hogs Defeat Auburn 24-7

The Razorback defense forced five turnovers and Dennis Johnson rushed for two touchdowns to help Arkansas win its first SEC game of the season 24-7 over Auburn.

The Hogs scored first with a two-yard touchdown run by Johnson in the first quarter.  With a Zack Hocker field goal in the second quarter, Arkansas led 10-0 at the half.

Auburn closed the gap to just three points after backup quarterback Clint Moseley hit Emory Blake for a 21 yard touchdown pass, but the Razorbacks controlled the game the rest of the way scoring twice more in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

Will Hines, Ross Rasner and Alan Turner each intercepted a pass and the Hogs also recovered two fumbles.  Arkansas' last previous forced turnover came in the second quarter of the upset loss to Louisiana-Monroe in week two.

Quarterback pressure was also a constant theme for the Hogs.  They sacked Moseley and starter Khiel Frazier eight times on Saturday.

Offensively, Tyler Wilson had a steady game.  The senior completed 20/27 passes for 216 yards.  Cobi Hamilton continued to be his favorite target making five catches for 72 yards.  The only touchdown pass came on a double reverse pass from former quarterback Brandon Mitchell to Javontee Herndon.

Johnson finished with 76 yards on the ground.  Knile Davis only carried the ball three times for -4 yards.
