It was a day of celebration and a special kind of family reunion at Mercy Hospital Saturday.

The hospital hosted a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Reunion for graduates and their families.

Since moving to its new location five years ago, Mercy's NICU has cared for more than 600 babies.

Saturday afternoon, those caregivers got a chance to catch up with the families they helped.

"It's a good opportunity for them to come back and see the nurses that took care of their babies and a good chance for us to see them older and how well they're doing," said Jeri Power, event organizer and NICU nurse.

There was free food and games and Ronald McDonald even made an appearance.

This was the second annual NICU Reunion.
