Tyler Wilson Uninjured After Car Accident

By: Jason Carroll
Updated: October 9, 2012
Arkansas senior quarterback Tyler Wilson was involved in a car accident on Tuesday morning on I-540 in Northwest Arkansas.

According to Arkansas State Police, Wilson was heading north on 540 at the Garland Avenue exit when traffic in front of him came to stop. When Wilson hit the brakes, the vehicle behind him, driven by Dustin Whitmill, did the same but did not stop in time. Whitmill rear-ended Wilson's car, sending him into the median where he hit the divider cables. Wilson was not injured in the accident and Whitmill was uninjured as well. ASP says both men were wearing their seat belts.

University of Arkansas media relations Zack Higbee released this statement Tuesday: "Tyler Wilson was in a car accident and has been checked out. He is fine and we anticipate him to practice this afternoon."
