A starting Razorback defensive lineman was arrested Wednesday for skipping a court date.

20-year-old Christopher Smith was booked into Washington County Jail shortly after 3 a.m. Wednesday and charged with failing to appear in Farmington City Court.

Smith was released just over an hour later on $415 bond.

According to Farmington Police, the charge stems from a speeding ticket Smith received on May 4 when he was stopped traveling 64 mph in a 45 mph zone.

A warrant was issued for his arrest on July 31 when he missed the scheduled court date.

Smith has a preliminary hearing in Farmington City Court scheduled for Friday, Oct. 12, and a court date scheduled for Dec. 19 unless he pays for the ticket on a prior date.
