Just four days after Matt Turner's death, his family here at KNWA Continues to mourn his passing and today, many of us got a chance to say goodbye.

Hundreds of people showed up to 3rd Street Baptist Church in Arkadelphia to say goodbye to Matt Turner.

Those closest to him say he was a man with a big heart who even opened his home during an ice storm.

"When Matt came home he said well anytime you need help we will be here, and we are just glad we had a friend like that."

"I'm really gonna miss him he was really important to my family, and I hope every good prayer goes to Julee an baby Preslee."

Inside, the church quickly became standing room only, with friends sharing words about the man they knew and loved- giving us a glimpse of Matt's funny side.

"Preslee asked why she never sees you Ashley and the kids, I told her you went to prison today."

But he wasn't one to bring attention to just how sick he was, said his dad's best friend - but still thinking of his family, he wrote letters to them titled "when I die" that were read just Sunday.

"Julee I want you to remember I will always love you with all my heart. I can't stand the thought of being without you and Preslee."

So many memories and thoughts shared here in honor of a man that will always be remembered as a great son, wonderful father, amazing friend and man of faith.

"I'm proud of you man"
