In John L. Smith's first game as the head coach at Louisville the Kentucky Wildcats hung 68 points on the Cardinals, he won his next three against UK. Perhaps he can help Arkansas solve the the Big Blue Football Riddle, becuase Arkansas is just 2-4 against the Cats since joining the SEC.
We need to (beat them) this week, we gave away the game our first year here," offensive coordinator Paul Petrino said. "Again I think its as much about us as it is anything we got to get there and prepare and play well."
Despite a 1-4 start, the Wildcats have shown some signs of life in recent weeks in hanging with a pair of top 20 teams in each of their last two games.
"They're talented they got some really talented linebackers they look like you're suppose to look, you know the first half against South Carolina they got after them its just a matter of going out there and executing."
Offensively the Wildcats are one of the worst teams in the SEC, to make matters worse Kentucky is down to its 3rd quarterback on the year; Making Arkansas' new found pass rush a likely element in Saturday's game plan.
"That's our plan is to get after him and throw a lot of things at him and confusing him," defensive end Trey Flowers suggested. "We're getting to the point where we are starting to embrace the concepts, we love blitzing our dee line I feel is one of the best in the SEC and they help us out a lot," senior linebacker Terrell Williams added.
