Firefighters Perform Controlled Burn on Bentonville Home

If you saw smoke, or even flames not far from the Bentonville Walmart Home Office Saturday morning, don't worry, firefighters had everything under control.

The fire department burned an abandoned home down, at the request of the property owner.

It happened on SW D Street and some folks were alarmed, thinking it was an actual emergency.

Once the land is cleared, the owner plans to build two new homes on the lot.
