Delonda Jordon woke her kids up on Tuesday with an offer they couldn't resist.

That's because Washington Elementary teamed up with the Bicycle Coalition of the Ozarks on Tuesday to encourage families to bike or walk to school.

The group handed out a healthy snack and bike reflectors.

"These kids play video games and they sit at home and play on the tv all day and they need to exercise more," said Jordon.

Principal Ashley Garcia believes keeping these wheels rolling is a fun and healthy choice for children and their families.

"It's so important for kids to get outdoors and just get the exercise," she said.

A weekday workout, pushing pedals and making its mark on folks in Fayetteville.
