Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is installing a new sculpture this week.

Unraveling, by Ursula Von Rydingsvard, is made of eighteen separate pieces of rough cedar, some weighing more than three hundred pounds.

Preparators are putting the large wall sculpture in the museum's gallery bridge.

Lead preparator Chuck Flook says the team is constantly moving things in and out to make space for new acquisitions or to put popular works back on display.

"(There are) some things we haven't displayed yet that are in storage and we are finding with curatorial staff a home where they can live," he says.

Public access to the Northwest end of the bridge is restricted for the installation, but visitors can still see the team at work.
