UA Hosts Homecoming Chili Cookoff!

Updated: October 30, 2012
The Hogs take on the Tulsa Golden Hurricane this weekend in a homecoming showdown.

But Tuesday, it was the battle of the beans!

Students sparred and stirred the pot in a homecoming chili cookoff at the Gardens!

Teams competed for best chili based on creativity, taste and overall theme, which was "holidays."

But this event was about more than just a good time.

"We donate the food to the local homeless shelter, so it's just a great way for the community to come out and work together to do something good," says Victoria Faulkner, the director of traditions at the U of A.

The Arkansas Razorbacks kick off their homecoming game on Saturday, November 3  at 11:21 a.m.
