Fox Morning Edge Top Trenders for October 31st

Here's a look at the big stories happening while you were sleeping last night.
While Sandy delivered a powerful punch to the east coast, it's giving a gift to the rest of us.
These are your Top Trenders for Wednesday morning.
Number 5: Cheaper gas, emphasis on the cheaper. Typically a hurricane means a spike at the pump. But after Sandy finished, it meant a dip! The national average is sitting at $3.53 per gallon, while in Northwest Arkansas we're about a quarter less than that at $3,25.
These are your Top Trenders for Wednesday morning.

This trend is expected to continue with prices forecasted to drop close to $3 before the end of the year.
Number 4: The NBA. It's back! Among the highlights Tuesday night -- Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, and the rest of the Miami Heat all got their rings and raised a banner commemorating winning the NBA finals over the summer. Also, Kobe Bryant's status was unclear before the game tipped off, but he did start, and it didn't help the Lakers as they fell to the Dallas Mavericks.

Number 2: Star Wars and Disney. Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader are joining Walt Disney's large cast of characters. George Lucas sold Lucasfilm.ltd to Disney for $4.1 billion! Lucas said he's loved watching Star Wars pass from generation to generation and now it's time to pass the company to a new generation of filmakers. Disney hopes to have the next Star Wars film in theaters by 2015.
Number 1: Sandy shuts down the subway. No disaster has ever hit New York's subway system this hard. Seven tunnels under the East River are flooded. It could take up to four days to get all the water out of those flooded tunnels. It's not going to recede on its own, so it will have to be pumped out. The chairman of the Metropolitan Transit Authority says the system is 108 years old, and he's never seen devastation like that brought on by superstorm Sandy.
