5:45 p.m. Update:

Flights are resuming at Clinton National Airport in Little Rock after it was evacuated Thursday afternoon because of a suspicious package.

According to those on the scene, package sniffing dogs picked up on a possible substance inside a box in the baggage claim area.

That happened around 2:45 p.m.

Crews evacuated portions of the airport and halted departing flights.

The package was x-rayed and checked and given the all clear.

According to airport officials, the box contained only personal items.

Now they're trying to figure out what the dog sniffed out that caused the alarm.

5:15 p.m. Update:

K-9s with the Little Rock Police Department sniffed out a suspicious package at the American Airlines baggage claim office around 2:45 Thursday afternoon.

Portions of the airport have been evacuated, including ticket and baggage areas.

Departing flights have also been temporarily halted.

Arriving flights are landing, but passengers are being led outside after they land.
