A Fayetteville woman was desperately trying to help her parents in New York after Sandy severely damaged their home.
Valerie Champagne took to Facebook, asking for firewood to be sent to her folks, who are currently without power in 40-degree temperatures.
She received an instant response from an old grade school friend who lives about 20 miles from her parents.
The friend came through and delivered wood to Valerie's parents, proving social media can be a vital tool in an emergency situation.
