"It's really been a dream and we love the University of Arkansas so much and just coming here has meant so much to us," said Kelly Lamb.
"I thought she would get it, but I was a nervous wreck during my last interview and I was like there's no way and then when we both got on it was surreal... We have done everything together since we were growing up... I wouldn't feel right if I was up there and she wasn't so I think that' the coolest thing," said Caitlin Lamb.
The twins were chosen to fill two seats on the University of Arkansas Homecoming Court, but that reality was just sinking in Friday night.
"We've been working on this since July for the university and seeing everything come together, it's crazy, it's hectic but it's so cool to finally see everything happening," said Caitlin.
"We haven't got very much sleep this week," said Kelly.
The sisters were not expecting a big win, and considered themselves blessed to just be part of the excitement. The two are preparing to venture down different paths, so they were thankful to spend this once in a lifetime journey together.
"To be up there with her is the best part," said Caitlin.
"We truly do feel honored and the U of A has really become our home so it's really exciting to get to do this... We definitely won't be in the same place next year so it's nice to end our four years together on such a high note like this," said Kelly.
But there is only one Homecoming Queen and if Kelly or Caitlin won the crown, they already had a plan in place.
"We'll break the crown in half, give one to her and give one to me... Or she'll wear the crown I'll wear the sash, put it around both of us, we'll share... Honestly, we feel like we both won making it together," said the sisters.
These ladies have brains behind their beauty too. They are both Chi Omega sorority sisters and are double majoring in economics and political science.
