Christmas Lights Can Mean Danger

By:
Updated: April 17, 2007
If you`re planning on putting up some outdoor lights this Christmas season, you might want to check for power lines first. A family in Fayetteville spent about $1,200 on lights to take part in the annual Lights of the Ozarks. The only problem....a power line in their front yard. While putting up the lights the family was stopped by an Ozark Electric worker who was concerned for their safety. The tree the family was hanging the lights in was in contact with a large power line. The worker and other Ozark Electric employees took the light down for the family, but now they have to find other spots to hang the multitude of Christmas lights they purchased.
