It's the signs of the times. Folks in Fayetteville and all over Northwest Arkansas campaigned on Monday for that last day of early voting before the big election.

"I just think it's important to vote whenever you can, If you can't do it tomorrow, you need to come in today."

Kimberly Byrd Dixon cast her ballot on the final day of early voting.

"I won't have time tomorrow because I'm working so I have to come in before work," she said.

And she isn't alone. According to the Secretary of States office, around 400,000 Arkansans have pulled into the polls before election day.

"This is definitely a historic election for Arkansas."

Loyal volunteers like Will Watson have put in a lot of man hours before this election day.

"I think part of the motivation to be out here is to maybe get thatt one last second of visibility before a voter goes in and kind of pull your candidate above the fray," said Will.

He's waving campaign signs and vying for the eyes of early voters.

"We've had a really high voting turnout, so we just want to be here making sure that voters know we're working hard to get every vote," said Will.

Kimberly hopes folks all over The Natural State take advantage of their democratic duty.

"It's our government, we need participate in it," she said.
