The original site for the 22-story, 100-million-dollar hotel was on the east side of Interstate 540, near New Hope Road and Promenade Boulevard.
Officials for the Barber Group and Sage Properties - the two project developers - say they are now exploring the possibility of moving it elsewhere. They said they are considering locating it to the west side of I-540 to a 28-acre parcel near Champions Drive and Northgate Road.
The undeveloped land is owned by the Pinnacle Group, which, along with Barber, held a private meeting on Wednesday with Champions Drive area residents in Rogers to discuss possible plans.
The Pinnacle Group, which controls the Pinnacle Hills area, said the move makes sense because more hotel rooms are needed near the Hammons Convention Center.
