Walmart Veterans Day Event
Bentonville Downtown Square; Main stage located in front of the Benton County Courthouse
Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.

Walmart will host a Veterans Day event at the Bentonville Downtown Square to recognize and honor those who have served and currently serve in our country's military.
        
The event will include remarks from Congressman Steve Womack and special keynote speaker Senator John McCain.

What - Veteran's Day Program, to celebrate and honor Veterans.


VA Hospital Veterans Day Ceremony
Fayetteville


Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks (VHSO) will host a Veterans Day Ceremony to honor all Veterans at 11:00 a.m. in the Auditorium of Building 3.
"As Americans, we could not enjoy the blessings of freedom and liberty without the service of these men and women fulfilling an extraordinary duty," Director Mark A. Enderle, stated. "On Veterans Day, we remember and honor all those who wore the uniform."
Jeffery A. Vinger, Col, USAF (Ret). Director, Residential Facilities University of Arkansas, will be the keynote speaker. Mr. Vinger is a U.S. Air Force Veteran. The University of Arkansas Air Force R.O.T.C. will post and retire the colors. The National Anthem will be sung by Ashley Strack, Human Resources Specialist at VHSO. The Fayetteville High School Band will provide musical accompaniment to the program, as well as a medley of military service songs.
Carly Lamers, Human Resources Specialist, and Brad Edge, Purchasing Agent, at VHSO will be placing the memorial wreath. Veterans Day affords all a unique opportunity to be part of a truly meaningful experience in honoring Veterans who have given so much for our freedom.
Refreshments will be served following the program. The public is invited to attend.

Veterans Day Parade

Springdale

Saturday, 2:30PM

Monday is Veterans Day and Sunday will find Springdale's Emma Avenue home to the region's Veterans Parade. The parade, which begins at 2:30 p.m., will run west along Emma Avenue in Springdale, starting at Community Park Drive and ending at Main Street.

Area veterans, school bands, military units and the Highlander Bagpipers will be among those participating.

Military educational exhibits will be on display at the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad Depot beginning at 1:30 p.m. Veterans will be on hand to meet and greet the public.

After the parade, at 4 p.m., a patriotic concert will be held at the First United Methodist Church at 206 W. Johnson Ave., a block north of Emma Avenue. For more information visit nwaveteransday.org.
