NWACC Board Chooses Next President

Northwest Arkansas Community College has chosen Dr. Evelyn Jorgenson as its next president.
Jorgenson comes from the Moberly Area Community College in Missouri where she has been President for 16 years.
The NWACC Board of trustees met Monday night and unanimously agreed to move forward with the next steps in the process including a formal contract offer to Jorgenson.
Jorgenson was chosen over three other finalists after several campus visits, forums with college and community stakeholders and interviews with the Board of Trustees.
Jorgenson will replace current NWACC President Dr. Becky Paneitz who announced plans to retire back in April.
Paneitz will officially leave the position in June of 2013 with the new President taking over in July.
Jorgenson holds Doctorate and Master's Degrees in higher and adult education from the University of Missouri as well as a a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Columbia College in Columbia, Mo.
