Before you make your shopping list, there are a few things you might not want to buy on Black Friday.

DealNews.com has listed the top ten items to steer clear of on the busiest shopping day of the year, and here they are:

Toys
According to Dealnews.com, Black Friday is not the best time to buy toys for the holidays. Many will likely be discounted for Black Friday, but you can probably score them for less about two weeks before Christmas.

Game Consoles Without a Bundled Item
Looking for a major video game console? Steer clear if you can't find a bundle deal that includes premium accessories and two or three game titles.

Brand Name HDTVs
A lot of televisions will be marked down on Black Friday, that's for sure. But the rock-bottom prices tend to apply mostly to third-tier manufacturers. Want a brand name TV? Dealnews.com reccommends waiting until January and February. That's when manufacturers look to clear stock in preparation for new models in the spring.

The Latest Digital Cameras
During the holidays, premium current-generation models are just a few months away from being replaced by a new line of 2013 options. If you're eying a brand new digital SLR, wait until February or later when it becomes an "old model." That usually results in more aggressive discounts from retailers.

Christmas Decorations
Christmas decor may not be on your Black Friday shopping list, but it often ends up in carts due to impulse buys. But wait until after Christmas. You know the discount will be much deeper on these items then!

Office Supplies
Office supply stores have started releasing Black Friday ads in the hopes of encouraging an uptick in business, but the deals are typically no different than sales during the rest of the year. If you can wait on these items, do it.

Jewelry and Watches
The best time to buy new shiny acoutremonts? February, right around Valentine's Day, when baubles are at their most in-demand.

Winter Apparel
Yes, you will find some sweet deals on winter clothing and apparel, but if you can make it to January, you'll see much lower prices ont he same items.

Apple iPad mini
The long-awaited iPad mini will set you back at least $329, and you likely won't see a discount on it for several months.

Microsoft Surface RT Tablet
You may see a marginal deal on the Surface this season, but if sales are weak compared to the Apple iPad & iPad mini, the tablet may disappear into oblivion. That could mean a considerable price fall by next spring.
