FPL Offers Up More Free Screenings of "Up Among the Hills"

It's not too late to catch a free screening of the Fayetteville focused movie, "Up Among the Hills."

Fayetteville Public Library has announced additional opportunities to see the documentary film. Folk can check it out in the Walker Community Room at the Fayetteville Public Library on the following dates:
 

Tues, Nov 20th @ 6pm

Sat, Nov 24 @ 10am

Mon, Nov 26 @ 6pm

Background on the film:

Up Among the Hills, a 60 minute documentary film of the history of Fayetteville, was written and directed by Emmy award winning filmmaker and University of Arkansas professor, Larry Foley and narrated by President Bill Clinton. The film was funded by the Fayetteville Public Library Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities, while the library served as the executive producer of the film and will own the rights to the film.

The film was inspired by John Lewis, a native of Fayetteville and founder of the Bank of Fayetteville. Lewis was known as "Mr. Fayetteville" for his knowledge of the city's history and his desire get the community involved in its present and future development. The film is dedicated to his memory.
