Springdale High Adds Asst. Principal

By: Tyler Thomason
Updated: November 14, 2012
LaDena Eads makes the switch from Central Junior High, where she worked as an assistant principal, to Springdale High School, working in the same position.

Four-hundred more students are enrolled at Springdale High this year compared to last.

The district requires a principal-student ratio of one to 500, and with the increased enrollment, Springdale surpasses 2,000 students.

Eads joins three other assistant principals currently on staff at SHS, and is excited about the opportunity.

"Before, I was in the middle, and just getting them ready for high school, but I never got to see the end product," Eads says.

"So, now I'm excited to see some of those students move on past their high school education and go into either workforce or higher ed."

Eads has been working in her new position for a little more than a week.
