A local company is among the best in the nation at being involved in the community.

Bentonville-based Walmart has been named as one of  The Civic 50.

It's a national honor that recognizes America's most community-minded companies.

The Civic 50 uses a scientific evaluation to rank businesses that best use their time, talent, and resources to improve the quality of life in the communities where they work.

According to a Walmart press release, the survey was conducted by the National Conference on Citizenship and Points of Light, and was published in the November 9 issue of Bloomberg Businessweek.
