Smoke Free Cities List is Growing

By: Amanda Ashley
Updated: November 16, 2012
More cities across the US have joined the legal fight against second hand smoke.

A new study by The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows 30 of America's 50 largest cities have anti-smoking laws.  The rules generally prevent people from smoking in bars, restaurants and private workplaces.

26 states have statewide anti-smoking policies in place.   Arkansas is not one of those states, however 4 cities have some variation of a smoke free policy in place, according to no-smoke.org.  Those cities are Fairfield Bay, Fayetteville, Highfill, Pine Bluff and Chandler. Fairfield Bay is the only town to include all workplaces, restaurants and bars.
