Thousands of families across Northwest Arkansas will receive free food just in time for the holidays.

Cross Church is hoping to hand out 3,700 Blessing Baskets. Each one in filled with groceries, and all the makings for a delicious dinner.

They are being handed out at the Fayetteville, Springdale and Pinnacle Hills locations.

"We know in today's economy, there are a lot of needs that exist in Northwest Arkansas. We want the community to know that Cross Church loves them, cares for them," said Doug Sarver, Minister at Cross Church.

Sarver also said they have helped more than 63,000 families over the last 21 years and are looking forward to handing out thousands more this year.
