Playing for pride is all that's left for a team that opened the year with national championship aspirations, and is now guarenteed to finish 2012 with a losing record.
"Well I would have been taken back," quarterback Tyler Wilson replied to what he would have thought about an outcome such as this back in August.
"You got one more game as far as the seniors are concerned and its a meaningful one, its meaningful for the state as well as everybody in that locker room."
In a year where the Razorbacks lacked accountability, Wilson shouldered more responsibility for his team than any other player in the country.
"I feel lucky as heck that I get to go out and play football every single day so I can be in much different situation, sometimes its a test of your character and who you are deep down inside and how long you can stay positive and keep believing and keep going out on that field and give it everything you got."
Emotions run high on senior day regardless of the circumstance, Friday against LSU Arkansas' senior class will put to rest a career full of major highs, and unexpected lows.
Dog gone it if you got any pride at all go play for those (teammates)," head coach Jphn L. Smith said. "Lay it all on the line. You know you're always gonna have a tie with these guys and no one knows what takes place inside that locker room, and nobody knows what they go through except for them, everybody thinks they do but they don't! So those guys are tight and will be tight all of their lives."
