Twinkies Disappearing? Maybe Not

If you're about to crack open one of your final bags of Donettes, we've got some fantastic news: Hostess products may not be disappearing from store shelves after all. These are the top trending stories from Monday night.
Hostess
There's a gold glimmer of hope for the Twinkies manufacturers. Plans to liquidate the company are on hold after the company and the bakers' union agree to go through mediation talks. The judge overseeing Hostess' bankruptcy asked both sides to get together one last time to talk about saving the company and the more than 18,000 jobs that go along with it. Union members are still picketing the company, however. The talks are scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
Facebook
Your connection is about to get a bit slower but a lot safer! Facebook is in the process of moving all of its users in north america to https, it's a type of internet connection that is slower but much more secure. Most retail and banking sites use this type of connection. Facebook says it has made infrastructure improvements so the transition will slow down connections only slightly. If you're unhappy with the change, you can opt out.
Apple's Selloff
Two months ago, Apple announced it's iPhone 5 and its stock hit an all time high of $705. In the two months since then, though, it's plunged almost 21%. However, if you're looking to buy in to the computer giant, experts say now is a great time to do it. They say as the holidays approach, sales of the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini will take off.
A Home Explosion Murder Investigation
On November 10th, an explosion leveled several homes in Indianapolis and killed two people. Monday, authorities say they're investigating it as a homicide. Police say a white van was seen in front of the house that exploded and are searching for the driver of the vehicle. Indiana authorities are offering a $1,000 reward and federal authorities are putting in another $10,000.
Mysterious Dolphin Deaths
Authorities in Gulfport, Mississippi are looking into who is killing the endangered creatures. Dolphins are regarded by many as one of the most gentle and friendly creatures on earth but recently several have been found cut, shot, and with their lower jaws missing. If convicted, the person or persons behind this could face a hefty fine and up to a year in prison.
