The City of Rogers has decided where liquor stores will be allowed after voters approved the sale of alcohol in Benton County.

On Tuesday, the Rogers Planning Commission established where the new stores can set up shop.

According to Derel Smith with the commission, liquor stores will be allowed along the major highways like Interstate 540, Highway 71 and Hudson Road as well as Old Historic Downtown.

Zones that will allow the sales are C1- downtown commercial, C2- highway commercial, and C4- open display commercial.

As far as when alcohol sales can start -- smith says the alcoholic beverage control is working to pinpoint the exact date.
