During the game, Tyler Wilson broke the all-time Arkansas career passing yards record with a 9-yard completion to Javontee Herndon. With 359 yards today, he ends his career with 7,765, breaking the previous record of 7,493, held by Ryan Mallett. Cobi Hamilton also broke the record for career receptions. With 10 today, he ends his career with 175, breaking the previous record held by Jarius Wright, who had 168.

Playing in his final game for the Arkansas Razorbacks, Wilson led the Arkansas offense, going 31-of-52 for 359 yards and a touchdown. This was Wilson's seventh 350-yard passing game of his career and fifth of the season, both UA records.

Defensively, the Hogs were led by senior Ross Rasner, who compiled 13 tackles. Freshman A.J. Turner also had an outstanding day on defense. He had 12 tackles including 1.5 for loss.  Chris Smith led the team in sacks with 1.5. With his 1.5 sacks, Smith finished the season with 9.5 sacks, seventh on UA's single-season sacks list

LSU opened the scoring on its second possession with a 49-yard field goal after an interception by Tharold Simon that was returned to the Arkansas 40-yard line.

The Tigers would take a 10-0 lead into the half after a nine-play, 76-yard drive that capped in a 22-yard touchdown grab by Jarvis Landry with 1:12 to play in the second quarter.

Arkansas came out of the gate strong in the second half, stopping the Tigers on its first possession and then taking the ball 50 yards on nine plays. The drive culminated with a 25-yard John Henson field goal making the score 10-3 Tigers.

LSU answered on its following drive with a Jeremy Hill 1-yard touchdown run. The drive started on the Arkansas 14-yard line after a kickoff return of 86 yards by LSU's Michael Ford.

Arkansas answered back on its next drive as Wilson found MeKale McKay on a 28-yard touchdown pass to make the score 17-10 LSU. The drive included 26 yards of total offense from Knile Davis.

After another stop by the Arkansas defense, the Razorbacks drove 10 plays and 79 yards before kicking a 17-yard field goal. The key point in the drive was a 37-yard pass from Wilson to Jonathan Williams on fourth-and-one.

Two consecutive stops for each defense followed and LSU had the ball on their own 12 yard line. The Arkansas defense was able to hold the Tigers to a field goal on the drive, giving the Tigers a seven point lead and Arkansas a final drive to tie the game.

Wilson led the Arkansas offense on its final drive, completing passes to four different receivers including a 12-yard connection on 4th-and-10 to Brandon Mitchell. Wilson then had a six yard rush and a 28-yard strike to Julian Horton setting up a final heave with six seconds left from the LSU 18 yard line. The pass sailed over McKay's head in the back of the end zone and Arkansas lost a heartbreaker to LSU 20-13.
