It's been a tough season to watch no doubt for Hog fans. We wanted to hear your opinion on the head coach decision so we hit the street to hear what you had to say.

"I thought it was kind of a matter of time. I hate for anybody to lose their job but judging from the reaction around town over the past 4 or 5 months, it was definitely time."

"Excited about the new opportunity, looking forward to finding out who the new coach is going to be."

"John L. Smith, I don't hold him accountable for this year, we knew who he was he was a retired special teams coach, that's what he was, how could we expect him to do any better. John L. Smith was put in a poor decision by our athletic director Jeff Long."

"You knew it was coming, just a matter of how soon they would do it after the game. It's a little bit surprising they did it immediately."

Overall, folks we spoke with were not surprised but optimistic. Though they said they were ready for this season to be over, they're anxiously awaiting next season, changes and all.
