Two women facing abuse charges after a therapist reported a child's burns to the Arkansas State Police.
Investigators say an 11 year old was at a therapists appointment when the doctor noticed severe burns on his lower legs and believed the child was suffering from dehydration.

The boy's foster mother, Sharanda Hammock and her girlfriend Cecily Sharp told detectives the injury happened because of bath water that was too hot.

But police say the statements weren't consistent with the extent of the child's injuries.

Both women are facing 2nd degree battery charges and permitting abuse
