Fayetteville Unemployment Rates Lowest in State

A new federal report shows a Northwest Arkansas city boasts the lowest unemployment rate in the Natural State.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Fayetteville has the lowest numbers in Arkansas at 5 percent, Hot springs comes in just above 7 percent and Pine Bluff has an unemployment rate of 8.5 percent.

The Little Rock area has a 6 percent unemployment rate.

Arkansas' unemployment rate is up slightly to 7.2 percent, while the national unemployment rate also saw a slight uptick to 7.9 percent.
