Wal-Mart to delist stock on NYSE Arca Equities

By:
Updated: April 17, 2007
Wal-Mart`s common stock will continue to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol WMT. The NYSE Group, Inc. recently informed Wal-Mart that NYSE Arca Equities, Inc. intends to focus on primary listings of securities that are not also listed on the New York Stock Exchange. As a result, Wal-Mart has decided to voluntarily withdraw its listing from NYSE Arca Equities, Inc. in order to eliminate duplicative administrative requirements and costs resulting from such dual listing.
