With trees still down and power still out, some folks are taking matters into their own hands to go about their business as best they can.

One of the worst winter storms in years is sparking a lot of curiosity.

Just ask Jeremiah Stark, "We had a good ice storm a couple of years back but nothing like this, this is beyond anything we've seen in Arkansas. "

He lives in Hillcrest, one of the hardest hit places in Little Rock, "It's 47 degrees in my apartment right now."

In some cases the aftermath of this storm is bringing folks together. Terrell Tate's power is out, so he left his place in North Little Rock to stay with a buddy in Hillcrest but, "by the time i got here, about one hour after i got here, his power went out, so we're just stuck."

His advice?

"Stay home! Because there's nothing out here except snow and ice. "
