Looks like a happy ending is in the works for one Northwest Arkansas family trying to bring their daughter home from Russia.

Yesterday we told you about Kendra and Jason Skaggs.  They have been waiting to bring 5-year-old Polina, who has special medical needs, to Bella Vista. But Friday morning, Russian president Vadimir Putin signed a bill, banning the adoption of Russian children by American families.  A ban that could have prevented the Skaggs from being able to get Polina.

Kendra Skaggs said they just hoped and prayed adoptions that had already been approved would be allowed to proceed.

And on Friday they got the good news. Kendra told us Polina is one of just six children who will be able to come home.  She said the exception is because her court process has already been completed.

The Skaggs family is planning to bring Polina home January 29.
