Top 5 Stories of 2012: #3: The Disappointing Hog Football Season

Despite the Petrino scandal, fans were hopeful headed in to the 2012 football season.  Last year's 11-2 record had the team and returning quarterback Tyler Wilson had the team ranked inside the top 10 preseason poll. 

But the Razorbacks stumbled almost immediately, making history in all the wrong ways. Week two saw Louisiana-Monroe knocking off the Hogs in the worst upset in school history.

The next week, #1 Alabama handed the Hogs the worst home loss in school history, 52-0.

After falling at home the very next week to Rutgers chances at a post-season bowl game continued to diminish heading into late October. Arkansas closed the season with four losses in the final five games and finished the season 4-8.
